DC/SLA Military Libraries Group Lecture and Dinner-- Nelly Lahoud Discusses “The Jihadis’ Path to Self-Destruction"

The Military Libraries Group of DC/SLA would like to alert DC Area folks to a lecture and invite them to dinner following the talk.   The lecture is part of a program offered by the John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress.  Dr. Nelly Lahoud  will join us for dinner following the lecture.

Do contemporary jihadists hold, in their own doctrine, the seeds to self-destruction?  Nelly Lahoud, a top expert on jihadi ideology and a West Point associate professor, will discuss the topic at the Library of Congress. Lahoud will talk about her new book "The Jihadis’ Path to Self-Destruction" at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, in Room 119 on the first floor of the Thomas Jefferson Building, 10 First St. S.E., Washington, D.C. Sponsored by the Library’s John W. Kluge Center, the event is free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations needed.

DINNER:  B. Smith's Union Station, Ground Level, East Side, 50 Massachusetts Ave. http://www.bsmith.com/restaurant_dc_home.php  Dinner Reservations are for 6 p.m.  The Group will order from the menu.
 Union Station Metro on the RED Line.  Parking is available in the Public Garage at Union Station. Parking stubs may be validated for reduced rate.
