DCLA Members and friends are invited to tour the Anderson House and the Society of the Cincinnati Library. The Library collects, preserves, and makes available for research printed and manuscript materials relating to the military and naval history of the eighteenth century, with a particular concentration on the people and events of the American Revolution. The Tour should take approximately one hour.
There is a lunch-time lecture which starts at 12:30 pm in the ballroom. It’s free and lasts approximately 30 minutes. The subject of the lecture is: Larz and Isabel Anderson’s 1907 explorations aboard their houseboat, Roxana, featuring photographs, journals and their terrestrial globe etched with lines documenting their extensive travels, presented by Marilyn Barth, library volunteer.
DCLA Members will meet directly after the lecture and go down to the library together. Those that wish can stay afterward and tour the house. The house tour lasts approximately one hour.
