    Document and Information Management Specialist- EnCompass LLC

    Position Description:

    EnCompass LLC seeks a Document and Information Management Specialist to support a large-scale document migration and file organization project in USAID’s Center for Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG Center).

    The position will be supported through the USAID-funded Generate Results within Our Work (GROW) project. Through GROW, EnCompass LLC supports the DRG Center to strengthen the capacity of its staff to design and deliver high-quality learning events.

    Essential functions include:

    • Work with the KM Specialist and DRG Center teams to assist individuals to prepare existing Google Drive folders and develop new ones for the IT-led migration of documents from the custom platform to the Google Drive repository application.
    • Work with the KM Specialist and teams to define and integrate Google Drive policies and procedures throughout the DRG Center.
    • Work with the KM Specialist to conduct training and facilitate the application of that training to ensure all team members are proficient in using Google Drive.
    • Work with KM Specialist to complete associated tasks in a timely manner, as assigned.

    Position Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in library and information science or related fields; Knowledge of the Google Workspace platform
    • Experience in building an organizational, document structure and leading a unit through a transition in migrating from one document platform to another
    • An ability to train small groups and individuals in Google Drive and associated applications in the Google Workspace platform and support the people side of the transition process, as well as identify and facilitate meetings to work through logistical and technical challenges that may arise.

    Experience and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in library and information science, or related fields; Experience with training, including online instructional design, adult education and/or facilitation
    • Experience with leading an organizational change process, preferably with a basic understanding or willingness to learn change management approaches
    • Exceptionally strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
    • an ability to work with multiple stakeholders, build team relationships, and be influential with late adopters
    • Experience developing communication products (i.e. detailed instructions and guidance documents, newsletters, talking points)
