    Records Manager - LAC Group

    Position Description

    LAC Group is seeking a Records Manager for a temporary assignment (start ASAP, contract ending April 30, 2019) with an international organization in Washington, D.C. This is a full time (40 hours a week; Monday to Friday) on-site opportunity. Must be a US citizen and able to pass a background check.

    Responsibilities

    Under the direct supervision of a Records Management Officer, the Records Manager is expected to contribute to the work of the section as follows:

    • Analyze digital records saved under the file plan folder structure and provide actionable recommendations based on the findings
    • Review digital records classification and provide solutions when necessary
    • Apply classification codes to existing assets saved in the document management system based on the IMF file plan 
    • Compile statistics on the accomplishments 
    • Perform ad hoc duties as may be required
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Good knowledge of records management policies and practices, including records classification and retention schedules
    • Knowledge and experience with document and records management systems 
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to respect confidentiality
    • Ability to perform routine work independently 
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a multicultural environment 
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Master’s degree in either archival or records management field with a minimum of 2 years of experience
    • Must be a US citizen
