    Position Title:

    Library Assistant Project Manager-Library of Congress contractor

    Position Description:

    ZAI has a need for an Assistant Project Manager for a project located at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Qualified candidate will be responsible for ensuring all obligations of the project are met within the established deadlines. Must have managed a production-based project and worked in a library setting before. Have excellent excel skills and a full understanding of the voyager system. Have provided quality control for a project; serve as a liaison with the Project Manager and manage the project when they are out; and interact effectively with the government as well as the staff members

    Qualifications:

    The Contractor shall provide one (1) Assistant Project Manager who will be full-time and onsite for the duration of the contract.

    will have at least one (1) year experience working in a major research library with over 1 million volumes supervising a staff of 20+FTE,

    Experience working with shelf maintenance and bibliographic projects;

    one (1) year experience working with ILS/MARC records, preferably Voyager;

    possess the ability to train and review the work of others;

    possess the ability to address performance and personnel issues;

    possess the ability to compile statistical data to produce daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports of work reviewed;

    good interpersonal skills, both written and oral communications skills.

    Experience with Microsoft suite, experience with excel

    Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a major research library with over 1 million volumes supervising a staff of 20+ employees, including production projects. Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s or an associate degree and or has management experience. Must possess the ability to compile statistical data to produce daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports of work reviewed; and exhibit good interpersonal skills to include both written and oral communications.
