Earth Day Book Talk

Melanie Choukas-Bradley will give a “City of Trees ” slide lecture to celebrate Earth Day.  A book sale and signing of her book City of Trees : The Complete Field Guide to the Trees of Washington, D.C, courtesy of Books-A-Million, will follow the program.

Ms. Choukas-Bradley will give a slide lecture on the history and botanic diversity of the capital city’s trees.  She will also share pictures of flowering trees in Cleveland Park, as well as an overview of trees at the White House, Capitol, Mount Vernon and other historic sites.

The Cleveland Park Branch of the D.C. Public Library is located at 3310 Connecticut Ave., N.W. near the Cleveland Park Metrorail Station.  All District of Columbia Library activities are open to the public free of charge.  For further information, please call the Cleveland Park Library at (202) 282-3080.
