DC/SLA Library Leaders Series

  • 14 Apr 2010
  • 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • National Public Radio ( 635 Massachusetts Ave, NW)
If you have attended either of the last two Library Leaders programs, you already know the value of hearing the perspective of top leaders in our profession on the career, management and leadership challenges we all face.  If you haven't, now is the time to find out.  On Wednesday, April 14, Library Leaders will feature Blane Dessy, Library Director at the Department of Justice.  Blane has held management and leadership positions for most of his career and is known for his innovative thinking.

In a lively Q&A session, Blane will talk about library innovation in today's environment, share management and leadership strategies and tips, and his vision of the future of libraries and  information professionals.  Whatever the topics, a conversation with Blane Dessy always promises to be insightful, inspiring and laced with good humor.

This program is generously sponsored by LexisNexis.

Cost: $15 - SLA members
         $10 - SLA Unemployed/students/retired
         $25 - Non-SLA members
