For this program we will have a panel of speakers that will discuss employment
statistics concerning Librarians, Library Assistants,and
Library Technicians
such as how information is put together to create a fact sheet on employment and earning wages for the Bureau of Labor Statistics . The panel will also discuss current and national wage estimates, and the process of union salary negotiations.

Economist for Occupational Employment Statistics at the U.S. Department of Labor
Elizabeth Cross, Researcher for the Librarians section of the Occupational Handbook of Employment Statistics at the U.S. Department of Labor
Kenneth Despertt,
Executive Board Member and Shop Steward for AFSCME Local 1808 (American Federation of State, Country & Municipal Employees)
