This celebration of writers and readers is sponsored this year by the Library of Congress and Honorary Chairs President Obama and Mrs. Obama. The Book Festival has become the hallmark of literary events in the nation’s capital, drawing thousands of visitors and garnering national media attention.
Celebrating a “Decade of Words and Wonder”, the Book Festival is bringing more than 75 award-winning authors, illustrators, and poets to the National Mall between 3rd and 7th streets. Author Pavilions will include Children, Teens & Children, Fiction & Mystery, History & Biography, Contemporary Life, and Poetry & Prose.
