"Books on Fire" - Banned Books Week Event

DCLA and the Friends of American University Library have teamed up to present a thought-provoking program for Banned Books Week.

The program will include a screening of the classic film "Books on Fire" followed by a discussion led by George Arnold.

Parking on campus and in the campus lots is free after 5 PM. http://www.american.edu/finance/transportation/lotinfo.cfm There is a shuttle from the Tenleytown/AU metro on the red line.  Exit Wisconsin Ave. East, shuttle stops next to the bus shelter.

About the Discussion Leader:
For many years, Reference Librarian George Arnold taught "Censorship & the Media" in AU's School of Communication.  He says "Books on Fire" always made his students think.
