Are leaders born or are they made? The craft of leadership is explored in a revealing live interview with well-known library and cultural institution leaders. Come with your questions about the pathways and skills needed to become an effective leader, challenges of decision making and managing libraries, and achieve success in leadership.

Panelists include:

  • Jennifer Boudrye, Director for Library Programs at the District of Columbia Public Schools;
  • David Christopher, Chief of Operations for the U.S. Copyright Office (Library of Congress);
  • Alexandra Gomes, Associate Director for Education, Information & Technology, Health Sciences Library at George Washington University
  • Julius Jefferson, President of District of Columbia Library Association; Section Head of Foreign Affairs, Defense & Trade within the Congressional Research Service (Library of Congress); and
  • Kim Zablud, Assistant Director of Public Services at the District of Columbia Public Library
