Join the Washington DC Chapter of the Special Libraries Association for a family friendly networking event at Alcova Heights Park Shelter #2. This is an opportunity for parents and grand-parents who may not normally make our social networking events to have a chance to meet and network with other librarians in the DMV. All are welcome to attend.
We will provide hotdogs/hamburgers, drinks and some games, but encourage participants to bring some snacks, deserts, games, and sports equipment to share. If you are bringing a snack or desert we ask you to be conscientious of nut allergies.
Schedule:
We have the space reserved from noon until four, and you are welcome to stay the whole time or come when you can.
If you are unable to make this event, but like the idea, we are working on another joint family friendly networking event with the Virginia Chapter of SLA later this summer. Please complete our survey to make this a great event!
The cost of the event is to help cover the rental of the shelter and provide hotdogs, hamburgers, drinks and some other items.
