The basic premise of improv comedy, "Yes, and...", is a good way of approaching life. Practicing improv is an excellent way of improving public speaking skills, by building confidence and spontaneity.

This two hour workshop will involve several short form improv games--like those made popular by the show "Whose Line Is It Anyway"--and discussion on how this relates librarianship. Join Tolonda Henderson, Instruction Librarian at George Washington University, for some fun, laughter, and professional growth.

Location: Gelman Library, 2130 H St NW, rooms 301 and 302
The location is a short walk from the Foggy Bottom Metro on the Blue and Orange Lines. Participants should bring Photo ID to gain entrance to the building. Advanced Registration is required. This workshop is free to DCLA members. Space is limited, so register soon!

For registration questions, please contact Jacqueline Protka at Jprotka@corcoran.org. For content-related questions, contact Tolonda Henderson at tolonda@gwu.edu.
