Registration Instructions:
Below is the agenda and session information. For the Story Tapestries/Storytelling breakout training, space is limited to 25 participants per room. Using the registration options to the left on the DCLA registration website, select the option that works best for you. Once a Story Tapestry/Storytelling breakout session is full, select a different option. For example, If Story Tapestry/Storytelling Breakout Session A is full but you wish to still attend during the 10:15-11:15AM time period, select the Option to Register for Group B or select for the next time block for Group C, or D. If you would rather attend other sessions besides the Story Tapestry/Storytelling training, select the ticket option for the General Registration.
Tuesday, August 22nd Schedule
Opening Session: DC Public Library Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Auditorium from 8:30-10:10 AM Transition to Session 2
Session 2: Breakouts from 10:15-11:15 AM
Session 3: Breakouts from 11:25 AM - 12:25 PM
Lunch 12:25-1:30 PM. BYO Lunch or take advantage of lunch option with Marianne’s Café (use this online form to order ahead)
Session 4: Librarian Neighbourhood Meet-up: 1:30-2:10 PM
Closing Joint Session: Auditorium from 2:15-3:30 PM
3:30 PM: End of Day for DCPS School Librarians
DC Public Library Continued Professional Development: Auditorium 3:30-5PM
45 Minutes for a Chair Yoga and 45 minutes Networking
PLAN/BRING/EXPECT:
- Be on time, return from lunch on time.
- Come with a draft or outline of the library program plan for the year.
- BYO Lunch or order/pick-up lunch from nearby location or Marianne’s located on DCPL Main 1st Floor.
- All beverages must have a secure lid or cap.
