Join DCLA for an evening with Antoine Dotson, Director of Human Resources and Lamar Porter, Senior HR Specialist, Institute of Museum and Library Science (IMLS). Our guest speakers will explain to participants how to interpret a federal job posting; what GS means as well as other pay grades in the government; competitive service positions vs. excepted service positions; how to answer certain questions in the application process; and helpful tips with crafting a Federal resume that’s appealing to the hiring officials. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers, followed by a peer review of federal job applications/resumes (time permitting).
