Our Fall Reception on Tuesday was a great success! In attendance were long-time members, brand-new members, and several interested recent graduates who will be joining our organization soon. It was an excellent chance to catch up with colleagues and to network as well. I witnessed conversations about job opportunities, exciting new ideas for DCLA programming, and the future of librarianship. We're lucky to have some real movers and shakers in our ranks and I think the Reception was a wonderful jump-start to the DCLA year.

 

We look forward to a year of exciting programming, community-building, and activism in our field. As we mentioned at the Reception, if you are interested in being more active in DCLA, have ideas for programs or interest groups, or would like to suggest a location for a library tour-- please let us know!
