Record Information Manager-LAC Group
LAC Group is seeking multiple candidates to work as Record Information Managers for a library and records information program for a large federal agency in the Alexandria, VA area. Staff will provide support for a combined library/records management program including cataloging and acquisitions, records maintenance, and research/reference services. All positions are full-time (40 hours a week, Monday to Friday) positions with benefits offered.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Perform indexing, categorization, and preservation of metadata in accordance with laws, policies, and regulations for library materials and agency records.
Support ingestion of official electronic records from redundant, obsolete, e-trash, duplicates, and multiple versions in accordance with Federal laws, regulations, and agency policies.
Respond to FOIA requests, internal investigations, legal holds, and agency inquiries. Create file plans, retention schedules, and records indexes in accordance with NARA guidelines and agency policies.
Provide recommendations to improve the efficiency of department information management program
Provide research, reference and access support to records and information in accordance with established guidelines.
Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent
Knowledge of NARA standards and guidelines for development and implementation of records management programs
Experience with Enterprise Records Management Project Management
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Active DOD Secret Clearance strongly preferred
