A message from the DC Public Library Recruiting officer,

We are hiring at the ALA Conference for Library Associates, Children, Teen, Adult Librarians and Library Managers! Please review the attached summary of available positions. If interested in any of these positions, please submit your resume to Aida Gueye at aida.gueye2@dc.gov or at DCPL.HR-DCPL@dc.gov. Our team will reach out to you to set up an interview at the ALA conference on Monday, June 27.

The District of Columbia Public Library (DCPL) is an independent agency of city government. DCPL was created by an act of Congress in 1896 “to furnish books and other printed matter and information service convenient to the homes and offices of all residents of the District. The DC Public Library system comprises 26 locations, including the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, also known as the downtown Central Library

In the past decade, the District of Columbia has made a phenomenal investment in its public library system. Most neighborhood branches are either new or fully modernized. These beautiful buildings, designed by internationally renowned architects such as David Adjaye and Bing Thom, are inspiring destinations of learning and recreation for the city’s 700,000 residents.

Join the DC Public Library team to help build a dynamic, inclusive experience throughout the  library system. Our participants reflect a wide range of socioeconomic, cultural and religious  affiliations within their countries, including people with disabilities, and we encourage people from diverse backgrounds to apply!
