The Head of Technical and Technology Services provides leadership, development, coordination, and direction in the following areas: cataloging, classification, material processing in all formats, and authority file maintenance.

This position also serves as the systems and database administrator for Alma and Primo. The librarian plans and develops policies, workflows, and special projects relating to acquisitions, cataloging/metadata and develops and implements strategies for the effective acquisition and discovery of library resources in all formats. The librarian monitors expenditures for library resources and trends related to resource acquisition, description, discovery, and access. The librarian supervises the Technical Services Specialist. The librarian identifies, formulates, and assesses goals, priorities, policies, and procedures for these areas of responsibility and works closely and collaboratively with all library staff to ensure efficient workflow and enhanced user experience.
