Library Interns, under supervision of the EEOC Librarians, will participate in inventorying, digitizing and cataloging frequently used historical materials for the Agency archive. As part of its “Digital First” initiative, interns will also help facilitate the preservation and retrieval of the archival collection for research services. Interns may assist staff on other tasks and special projects such as research assistance and database management. Typically, internships are part-time (approximately 8-12 hours per week) for 10-14 weeks. Students may apply to receive course credits. Current, full-time, or part-time graduate students in library and information science, or related field at an accredited college or university. Applicants should have an understanding of cataloging, digitizing, and archiving.
