The National Library of Medicine is recruiting for an NNLM Project Director. This position, located onsite at the National Library of Medicine in Bethesda, MD, will have primary responsibility for administering (in partnership with NLM Extramural Programs) and coordinating the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM).
The position will:
• Manage policy, administrative and programmatic matters pertaining to the NNLM, and provide overall planning of NNLM programs; • Oversee the coordination of NLM's programs in engaging and training a variety of audiences to support the NLM and NIH mission. Use knowledge of assessment and management of engagement and outreach to ensure the work of the office meets the needs of NLM, NIH and NNLM audiences and stakeholders. • Oversee the programs of the NNLM Cooperative Agreements and ensures they align with the goals and objectives of the NNLM program. Work with the Division of Extramural Programs, lead a team of project scientists who ensure the programs are effectively meeting the needs of the Network. • Be responsible for recommendations concerning allocation of resources to the Program. Develop policies and guidelines for NNLM operations. • Lead and provide technical direction to employees to accomplish specific tasks, produce work products and meet project goals through knowledge and application of leadership and team building skills and techniques, integration of work processes and products, obtaining resources, and liaison with the supervisor.
